Thanks for the info Fredrickwood I was unaware that there was already currently a system for categorizing pot holes. This web page was a very interesting read and it really stresses the importance of reporting these problems to the council as 95% of the pot holes that they have fixed last year have been pot holes reported on the pot hole help line. So people instead of just moaning about pot holes to your loved ones and families get on the phone and let the council know about them. The council cant be on the roads everyday looking for potholes so we need to do our best to make them aware of them.
Unfortunately again this picture gallery could be of any road all across the country. Pot holes are not just a problem in Quedgeley but across the nation and with the bad snow that seems to plague the country every winter now more and more pot holes will be cropping up on our roads quicker than the council can fix them. I think that eventually there will have to be some sort of rating for which pot holes get fixed first with factors included such as the size of the pot hole and the use of the road on which its on. Quedgeley fortunately doesn’t seem to have too bad a problem on the main roads but some of the little cul-de-sac roads suffer quite badly with pot holes as shown above.
