Inferno stars feel the heat

Talented young actors from Maidenhill School in Stonehouse put on a scorching performance of Disco Inferno during the hottest week of the year.
The cast, which included a number of pupils who live in Quedgeley, sang and danced their way through five performances of the musical while temperatures outside reached a sweltering 29 degrees.
Fittingly, the play is set in the long hot summer of 1976, and tells the story of Jack (Alistair Edwards), who sells his soul to the devil in return for fame and fortune as a musician. But he soon discovers that getting what you wished for is not always a good thing, as his success costs him the love of his fiancée Jane (Jessica Weaver) and the life of his best friend Tom (Billy Perry).
Featuring a number of hit tunes from the period, the play had the audience tapping their toes and singing along, night after night.

Sounds like a great show. I hope the children didn't feel the heat too badly.
