WORK is about to start on the fit-out of Advanced Insulation’s new £1.9 million headquarters at Quedgeley West Business Park.
It follows the acquisition of the 31,865 sq ft speculatively-built unit.
GVA Grimley, who advised Advanced Insulation on the recent purchase from St Modwen, following an extensive search for suitable premises, has now been appointed to design and implement the fit-out.
Paving the way for the company’s relocation from its headquarters in Berkeley, work on the premises will include the installation of a controlled R&D laboratory, and fitting out of manufacturing facilities, offices and ancillary areas. In advance of this, GVA Grimley has been working with Gloucestershire First to obtain planning consents for change of use.
Established in 2007, Advanced Insulation manufactures specialist fire resistant coatings for use in the oil and gas, subsea and defence sectors. The company previously operated as Alderley Materials Ltd and employs 40 people. It is hoping to create up to 30 new jobs, after it has relocated early in 2011.
