Farmers' Market for Quedgeley?

Visiting Stroud’s buzzing Farmers’ Market this weekend, I thought what a great idea it would be for Quedgeley to host a market of its own.
It’s ironic that this whole area was once farmland, yet Quedgeley people have to travel into Stroud or Gloucester to find a market selling local produce.
Would any other Quedgeley People be in favour of our very own Farmers’ Market?

I doubt there are enough people to tempt local farmers to set up stalls... also, location is a problem. Personally, I don't buy vegetables that have sat next to a road half the day if I can help it. For a farmers market to be successful you would need to attract people from other areas, which brings the problem of parking and transport. However nice the idea might be, I just don't think it would work, especially with such a good market run in Gloucester on a weekly basis.

Reportgood idea, but would enough Quedgeley people be able to provide the produce, I thought the farmers market produce is provided by local people. All the farm land has disappeared, so has the local produce.

ReportWhat a fabulous idea! Perhaps The Pilot would be willing to hold it on their car park. What do other Quedgeley People think?
