    BUDDING dancers can get into the swing of things thanks to classes in Quedgeley. Jive dancing is being taught at Quedgeley Community Centre to people of all abilities. Classes are every Thursday from 6.45pm, lasting until 11pm. It costs £4 for adults and £2.50 for students and concessions.     CHARITY Dogs for Disabled will benefit this year thanks to fund raisers in Quedgeley. A 'drop-in' event has been planned for Tuesday February 21 at Quedgeley Methodist Church, in Bristol Road, in aid of the cause, which the church will raise money for throughout 2012. All are welcome to attend the event which runs from 10.30am until noon, when there will be a number of activities on offer to keep people occupied.

    PLANS for a new Asda store on the Kingsway estate are up for public debate. Residents are being urged to have their say about the proposals for the food store this week. A public consultation will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday so developer Robert Hitchins Ltd can get feedback from the community before a planning application for a 25,000sq ft supermarket is submitted.   • Charity nets club cash

    MONEY has been fished out to give to a children's charity. The Quedgeley and District Angling Club has handed over £300 to Sense, which supports deaf and blind youngsters. The money was raised at a club angling match on the Gloucester canal which the club ran in aid of the children. Anglers are also looking for more junior members, up to the age of 16, to join.
