A moped was stolen from outside a house in Shelduck (that's at the bottom of millers dyke and the causeway by the canal). Fortunately our local police force recovered it by the canal but if you live in this area be vigilant. this is quite unusual I have lived here for 13 years and crime is very unusual as we are well off the beaten track but in the last few months had the mugging on the canal path and now a theft.

Oh dear! Glad that the moped was retrieved. Yes this is a very quiet area normally so is definitely surprising. I think unfortunately crime is getting more common in all areas. Everyone must look out for their neighbours and report anything suspicious. As a community we need to come together to try and deter these criminals.
