Yes I read this story in The Citizen and it is very sad. It is horrible to think that things were so bad for the poor lad that he felt he had to take his own life. Terrible. It is becoming more and more common for youngsters to commit suicide and it is a real shame. Thoughts go out to his family at this terrible time.

This is a terrible story. It is always sad to hear when a youngster dies wether it is by their own hands or not. RIP Oliver. Thoughts go out to his family and all those that knew him.

I know that it is too late for this particular lad but if you are a young person facing difficulties in your life please seek help. Although problems can sometimes seem insurmountable they rarely are and adults will help you if they possibly can. Please try to talk to someone at your school, or a relative or even ring childline or samaritans, please please don't make the same choice as this poor boy.
Alan what a great comment. That is really good advice. It is too late for this lad and it seems such a shame that he didnt reach out to someone and try and solve whatever problems he had going on. When you are that age every problem feels like the end of the world and its only looking back as an adult that you realise that they really werent.
