Local Quedgeley housewife, Lisa Reeves, has a solution to keep your new brown food caddies clean. Lisa has started a new business to sell Paper Caddy Liners in the Gloucester area with free local delivery. Alina paper liners are compostable, extra strength bags that make your caddy bins quick to empty and helps keep them fresh. Lisa found a few liners that were either too expensive or made of thin paper that would fall apart when full of waste food. Her paper liners are made from strong wet-strength sack craft paper and are fully certified as compostable. “I started using Alina paper liners to keep my caddy clean, then ordered together with my neighbours after they started buying them. Now I’ve started my own business to supply Gloucester with the best quality liners at the lowest prices!” Several people have complained about how to keep the new brown food bins hygienic. Gloucester City Council has recommended using newspapers or compostable paper bags. From experience, the newspaper sticks to the caddy when emptied, leaving wet paper and rotting food at the bottom. Alina paper liners are strong when wet and don’t stick to the caddy, making it easier to empty and keep clean. Lesley Anderson, owner of Recycle Together that makes Alina Paper Liners, is proud that her products are certified as compostable and extra strong, “Our liners are certified by Din Certco, Europe’s leading certification organisation. It’s only awarded after rigorous testing and shows that the paper is safe to use in the composting process and will not harm the environment. Quite simply, paper liners are the best option.” Lisa supplies her liners locally through tinyurl.com/y3r8j7u or by calling 01452 769607. They deliver free in the Gloucester area and prices start at 16p for a liner.
