Hi Vizzi well if you enjoy nice walks then you are in luck moving to Quedgeley. Quedgeley has a canal that runs right through it which has a canal path and is really beautiful to walk along. There is a picture gallery on this site of the Quedgeley Canal Path, take a look it shows you the canal and the beautiful scenery that you will experience. Quedgeley hasn't really got a town centre but it does have a Tesco, Post Office, Chemists, Matalan, Next, Blockbusters and some takeaways in the Centre and The Quays and Gloucester City Centre are both about a 15 minute drive away. There is also a lot of good estate agents in Quedgeley to help you find your new home, if you type renting into the Quedgeley People search engine then a guide to renting in Quedgeley should come up. Good luck with your move.

Hi,
We are planning on moving to Quedgeley in Summer 2012, but can anyone tell me where the nearest colleges/universities are? And also what are the locals views/opinions on schools serving the Kingsway estate (both Primary and Secondary)? Any recommendations greatly received.
Thanks

There is a college campus in Gloucester just by the docks which would be easy to get to from Kingsway. The University of Gloucestershire has sites in Oxstalls and Cheltenham all of which can be reached by bus but it would mean multiple changes. By car they are all 25-45 mins away. Fraid I don't know anything about schools in Kingsway.
I dont know anything about the Primary School in Kingsway but the Secondary School for Quedgeley would be Severn Vale School. It is only a short walk, bike or car ride from Kingsway and has a good reputation. They do a lot of work in the community and with other schools. They have also recently become an acadamy.
