BOO!!!! Halloween probably one of our busiest times of year and I know many residents also fear potential anti-social behaviour at this time of year, We your local safer community team are aware of this and we are planning to run an Op over this and firework night so if you have any issues or concerns please contact us.
We all know that people talk about the lack of community spirit these days but I am a great believe that it is still out there and you might just have to look a little harder than you did in years gone by.
That said we now require your help, we are looking for people to come forward who can spend maybe 4 hours a month of there time coaching and mentoring young people through the sport of fishing. We are very lucky here in Gloucestershire that we live on a waterway and I have seen many young people showing an interest in this whilst out and about on patrol.
You will be required to undergo some checks and a training course that will result in a formal qualification so even if you're at colleague, retired, employed, self employed or looking for a job it will be another way to get something on that CV and do something really good for your community and its young people.
If you are interested please get in touch with me either via email at lucy.kay@gloucestershire.police.uk or telephone on 101
There has also been a spate of graffiti on the patch PCSO Lee Hutton is making a log of this and when we catch the offender we have made sure that we have evidenced the graffiti so if it is removed we can still prosecute.
Lee is also busy making a register of all the moped on the area as we are getting reports many of them are riding and behaving in an anti-social way, we are writing to the parents of those young people involved.
