POLICE ordered a troublesome teenager to move on, but when he tried to go they arrested him, a court heard.

Kody Danter, of Lakenheath Kingsway, Quedgeley, pleaded not guilty to using threatening words and behaviour, when he appeared before District Judge Martin Brown at Gloucester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Prosecuting solicitor Louise Pinder said: “The Crown’s case is that a group of youths, including the defendant, was told to disperse but the defendant stayed at the scene and swore at the officer.”

District Judge Brown said: “It appears that the defendant tried to go but the police said ‘no’ and the officer placed a hand on his shoulder.”

The 19-year-old, who was granted unconditional bail, will stand trial at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on September 16.
