    In an attempt to help save money Quedgeley Library's opening hours were reduced. This has now over turned and the library hours are returning to normal. 9 Libraries were effected by the cut in hours including Quedgeley, Hucclecote, Longlevens and Stonehouse. Gloucestershire County Council planned to shut down 10 libraries and hand them over to Communities to run. However fortunately this was scrapped after a judicial review. ...

    Quedgeley people who were unable to attend last week's City Vision/Plan public event there is an oppportunity to have your say tommorrow. City Council Officers will be in the foyer of Quedgeley Tesco between 0930 and 1230. So if you have time to spare do go along and make your views heard.

    Quedgeley Parish Council Community Dog Show was a huge success. The show was held at Dimore II field in Quedgeley Sunday 24th of July from 1pm to 5pm. A variety of things were going on including stalls, bouncy castle, fair rides, a dog performance area and the dog judging. The weather was superb reaching up to 24 degrees. Many residents will be surprised to learn that the City Council no longer manages this facility following a Tesco corporate decision to get into the recycling business.
