A PERFECT morning for football saw Hucclecote travel to Quedgeley for this tough league match.
Cote kicked off and a lovely passing move culminated in Rhys Ashmead slotting home within the first minute for a great start for the visitors.
Both sides created chances with the goalkeepers taking turns to make excellent saves with Cote's Jack Bonner ensuring his side went in a goal-up at half time.
Jacob Cornwell created space down the left wing and Josh Niblett capitalised on this with an early goal in the second half.
Not to be outdone, Bonner played his part with several spectacular saves as Quedgeley attacked with some good passing play.
As the game went on, Hucclecote began to edge things with some excellent balls out of defence releasing the wide men and allowing them to stretch Quedgeley, resulting in some brilliant attacking play and two more goals, both from Josh Niblett.
Hucclecote continued to press and an excellent long-range effort was parried well by the keeper but the rebound fell to the in-form-striker Josh Niblett who fired in his fourth of the game to seal a 5-0 victory for Hucclecote.
Hucclecote awarded Raham man of the match for Quedgeley for his excellent defensive play against a difficult to handle Cornwell.
Quedgeley picked out Hucclecote goalkeeper Bonner as their man of the match – a number of superb saves stopping a very good Quedgeley side from netting
Three wins back-to-back consolidates Hucclecote's position in the top four.
Those three victories came with a total of 20 goals scored and only one conceded. Niblett's four goals from this game against Quedgeley sees him as the club's top goalscorer with 21 league goals and three goals in the cup.
This week will see Hucclecote meet top of the league Charfield Blues in the League Cup semi-final.
