A new beginners women only running group has been started in Quedgeley by Chantel Cockle.
It is an 8 week course which aims to have you running 5km by the end of the course.
It builds up your ability with a combination of jogging and walking until you are able to run the full 5km.
Chantel has been running these groups for over 2 years now and many of the women in her groups have gone on to do 10km runs or half marathons.
Running is a cheap and easy way to stay fit and in shape.
The class is on Wednesday Evenings at 6pm at QWFC Waterwells Business Park.
It costs just £20.
For more information then please call Chantel on 07725086790 or email chantel_spence@blueyonder.co.uk.

I have also been thinking about taking up jogging. I suffer with a bad knee sometimes and dont want to just start jogging incase I injure myself but this group would be perfect as I would get advise on how to run correctly and minimise the risk of hurting myself. At £20 it is also much cheaper than joining the gym.

ReportI have been thinking about starting to run recently and the idea of a womans only running club really appeals to me. People think that running is just running but it is important to get the technique right and learning to run 5km in 8 weeks is a great feat. Will definitly think about joining this group.
