Rail services in Gloucestershire have been cancelled this morning due to a signal failure in the Swindon area.
Major delays are affecting Gloucestershire train commuters this morning.
A signal failure in the Swindon area has left trains cancelled from Cheltenham to Swindon, and there on to London.
Replacement buses are in operation across the network.
This problem is affecting all routes through Swindon. Services between South Wales and London Paddington in both directions will be either diverted via an alternative route, such as Westbury, with increased journey times, or cancelled.
Services between Bristol Temple Meads and London Paddington in both directions will also be either diverted via an alternative route with increased journey times, or cancelled.
Services between Cheltenham Spa and Swindon are also cancelled.
Replacement road transport has been ordered.
A spokesman for train operator First Great Western said the problem was caused by a power outage which has affected signals.
