Aldi in Quedgeley was the first shop to be targeted by this thief on Thursday 3rd November.

The theft happened around 1pm and hundreds of pounds were stolen after he grabbed the cash from the open till.

The cashier trapped the man's hand in the till however he pulled himself free, another member of staff then tripped him when he ran to the exit however he once again escaped.

Two more supermarkets were then targeted the next day, Friday 4th November. Lidl and Tesco Express on Bristol Road also had money stolen from the till.

The man asked for 20p to be changed into 2 pence pieces however once the till was open he lunged and took a handful of ten pound notes from Lidl and five pound notes from Tesco Express.

Over £200 was taken from these 2 shops alone.

Both times he managed to get away on a bike. On Saturday he targeted a jewellery shop and a discount store both on Southgate street.

He took a gold bracelet from the jewellery shop and cash again from the discount shop.

However his thieving spree was halted later that evening when he was arrested in connection with the robberies.

Anyone with any information about any of these crimes and haven't already spoken to the police should call 101.
