Plans for 200 homes on Sellars Farm was rejected however it is believed that developers are now preparing an appeal.

Sellars Farm. This is the land they wish to build 200 houses on
Sellars Farm is located by The Pilot Inn, although it is not quite classed as Quedgeley the development would have put a lot of strain on Quedgeley Roads and services.
The plans were rejected after a huge campaign group "Against Sellars Farm Development" opposed it and campaigned tirelessly against the development.
Stroud MP Neil Carmichael and Hardwick Parish Council were also against the development.
There was worries over flooding risks, congestion and local services not being able to cope with the increased population.
Robert Hitchens were refused planning permission and now plan to take the appeal to the National Planning Inspectorate.
Due to the likliness of an appeal the fight hasn't been won yet and members of the "Against Sellars Farm Development" know that they may have to campaign all over again and are appealing for more Quedgeley and Hardwicke residents to get involved.

It is really good to see that Campaigners have managed so far to keep development from happening on this land. It goes to show just what people are capable of if they campaign in an organised, peaceful way. Well done. I hope that you can once again beat the developers on this appeal and then they leave that plot of land alone and you can enjoy the victory and unspoilt views.
