Row breaks out over Kingsway improvements

A ROW has broken out over who is doing the most to help improve Kingsway.
Gloucester MP Richard Graham said he has been meeting key players on the estate to deal with its issues.
He said: "There are issues outstanding, so I got together a meeting of Kingsway Residents' Association, Quedgeley Urban Village Ltd and both councils' officers and councillors to try and clear some obstacles to completion of important infrastructure in Kingsway. I'm more optimistic now that the Asda application has succeeded and that legal work on the community centre will be sorted out soon.
"Talks on a future surgery are happening, even if not agreed yet and obstacles to road adoption should be clear soon."
But councillor Barry Kirby, a Quedgeley parish councillor for the estate, said: "This meeting was in fact a waste of time. There is already a Kingsway group which meets every quarter and has been working hard to bring these issues to light and work through them."
