Road safety in Quedgeley is being reviewed by highway engineers after a third youngster was hit by a car outside a school.
Earlier this month, a girl was treated for a minor leg injury after an incident outside Severn Vale School on School Lane.
It prompted county councillor Jackie Hall (C, Quedgeley) to call for a review of road safety near to the school.
Gloucestershire Highways bosses have now agreed that a review is needed.
They will assess traffic calming measures already in place and may also assess the levels of street lighting in the area.
Sally Godwin, highways manager for Gloucester, said: "We feel that a review of the current traffic calming would be useful, therefore we will be submitting a priority assessment to bid for funding from the capital programme.
"I have asked for a street lighting assessment and am awaiting the result of this."
Jackie is also having new road markings painted, along with signs to warn drivers that the area is a school zone.
