Quedgeley Youth to receive City Council grants

I am pleased that several local groups are in line to receive funding following successful bids under the City Council Youth Grant Scheme. Quedgeley Wanderers FC, the Spring Centre, KIngsway-based TS Bulldog of the Naval Training Corps and the recently formed Angling for Youth development are all due to receive sums from the Scheme's £50k pot. The decision is still subject to the call-in process and is expected to be finalised on 15 May. It is good to see that money has been put aside to be given to groups especially for youths and teens. It is so important in any community that youths are given enough stuff to do and things to get involved with. This decreases anti-social behaviour and creates great skills and experiences for teenagers. They sound like really great clubs that have been awarded funds.
