The Orchard Pub that was destroyed in an arson attack in August is to be completely demolished.

Work is expected to start on November 14th as the owners have put in a demolition notice to Gloucester City Council.

All of the work is expected to be finished by December 2nd and the demolition will be completed in different phases.

The site is being completely demolished to ground level and soil will be laid on top.

Currently it is being discuessed between the owners, Admiral Taverns, and the insuers about a new pub or development being built on the site however there are no set plans as of yet.

A 16 year old boy has been arrested in connection with the arson attack and the investigation is continuing.
