This festive season when your buying, wrapping and opening presents don't forget about the people that are less fortunate than you.
Operation Christmas Child, which is run by Samaratians Purse, have been sending Christmas gift boxes around the world to underprivileged children since 1990.
If you have any unwanted stuff that you want to get rid of then you can ring Jenny Frost on 01452 722939 and she will come and collect the goods for free.
The sort of goods that they are looking for to go into their Christmas boxes are:
- Toys
- Puzzles
- Games
- Colouring books and pencils
- Cars
- Skipping ropes
- McDonald's toys
- Teddies
- Dolls
- Hair Accessories
- Jewelry
Also they will collect blankets which will be given to children and families living in poverty.
Unfortunately the below items can not be collected:
- Second Hand Clothes
- Fragile Items
- Battery operated toys
- Electrical goods
Jenny Frost also collects wool which local women knit into mittens, hats and scarves.
Also old towels which are turned into wash mitts and old curtains which are turned into drawstring bags.
Contact Jenny Frost on the above number if you have any goods to be collected or if you are interested in getting involved in knitting items.

I am currently having a sort out so will definitly remember this good cause. Them coming and collecting your stuff is great aswell as its completely stress free and you are helping out others at the same time. Hope more people get involved and remember those less fortunate this Christmas.
