The blaze at the Four Mile House, Brookthorpe on the 10th January was attended by a total of four fire appliances from Gloucester, Stroud and even an aerial resource from Cheltenham along with 10 fire-fighters.

It is thought that the fire was in the kitchen and that when Fire-fighters arrived they both fought to prevent it spreading further and also ensured that the building was safe.

Damage caused as a result of the fire has meant that Four Mile House has been closed since the incident and it is now thought that it may be closed for a further 5 weeks.
