Kingsway Amenities improving

Local amenities in Kingsway are definately getting better. The Coco coffee lounge opened its doors at the weekend, the Barn Owl will be serving pints and meals later this month and thanks to a positive planning committee decision last night, Kingsway will get the veterinary practice that it wants. Great stuff with the promise of more to come.

Yes Alan your right there is plans for a new Asda store for Quedgeley. See the story on the main home page now. This will not only do as you say and hopefully give Tescos a kick up the bum, which the sorely need, but will create over 200 jobs in the area. It will be nice to have a bit more variety of which supermarket to shop from in Quedgeley.

there is also an article on the main citizen website that ASDA are going to put in for planning permission to build on waste land next to the entrance to Kingsway to the right as you enter the estate from the bypass. Good news as it might get Tesco to raise it's standards and restock its shelves occasionally.

Sounds like Kingsway is becoming its own little village and I am sure this is making people much happier as they dont have to drive into Quedgeley or Gloucester for things. Will have to pop into the Barn Owl when it is serving food and help support the new local business.

I noticed that some of the roads are being surfaced as well, that is good news and hopefully the double yellows will be painted in properly
