Football sessions proving a treat in Quedgeley

FOOTBALL stars of the future could very well be found in Quedgeley, with popular soccer sessions growing in popularity.

The Q club, in School Lane, is proving a hit with budding Wayne Rooney wannabees.

The club, a community centre with play and sport facilities, offers football coaching to players as young as two-and-a-half.

Now the coaches have decided to offer extra slots on a Saturday so more youngsters can get involved.

Head coach Mike Devlin said: "The sessions have been getting more and more popular all the time.

"They come in and have great fun learning all aspects of the game."
