There are a variety of firework displays this year in and around Quedgeley for all the family.

The first firework display of the year is tomorrow the 24th October in Ebley which is a short drive from Quedgeley.

It is being held on Marling Schools playing field.

It costs £5 per adult and £3 per child.

The gates will open at 6pm.

There will be refreshments available and there will also be a huge bonfire made up of 40 stacked pallets.

The next local firework display is being held at Gloucester docks.

This is being held on Fireworks night, Saturday the 5th of November.

The gates open at 6pm and the fireworks start at 7.15pm.

Adults will cost £5 and children £2.50, you can also get a family ticket of 2 adults and 2 children for £12.50.

You can buy your tickets in advance from Gloucester Quays information desk, Gloucester TIC and National Waterways museum.

There will also be a limited number of tickets available on the door.

There will also be refreshments, local radio, live music, market stalls and much more on the night.

Quedgeley Parish Council will also be holding a firework display.

Which is something that they do every year.

The display will be on Saturday 12th November.

Details are yet to be confirmed but it is believed that it will be held at Dimore II field and starting around 7.30pm.

Keep your eye out for the details as I will post them on the Quedgeley People website when they have been confirmed.

In previous years there has been a fair, refreshments and other activtiies for all the family.

If you plan to hold your own fireworks party this year then there are a number of places that you can buy fireworks, sparklers and other firework accesiories from.

Tesco every year have a firework stand where they sell a variety of fireworks starting from very basic cheap fireworks right up to expensive luxery fireworks.

You can buy single rockets, packs of fireworks and sparklers.

There is a strict age limit on the buying of fireworks.

Please remember that fireworks are very dangerous and strict health and safety must be adhered to.

I too really enjoy fireworks and am looking forward to these events. The Gloucester docks fireworks are always really amazing. I havent ever been to the Quedgeley Firework display but I will be going this year. The parking around Gloucester is a nightmare when the fireworks are on but the Quedgeley one I will be able to walk to so will save a lot of hassle. Am thoroughly looking forward to it.
