Christmas events in and around Quedgeley

The Christmas season is now upon us and now is the time for parties, shopping events, Christmas carols and a number of other Christmas events.

Christmas Season is now upon us
The Quays, which is a short drive down Bristol Road, are holding a Victorian Christmas Market this weekend.
It finishes today at 5pm so hurry down if you want to experience the Christmas festivities.
Admission is free and there is a variety of things to do and see including over 60 stalls selling traditional wooden toys, homeware, jewelry and many food stalls including fudge, sherry and chocolates.
There will also be a variety of entertainment including a choir, fiddlers and a ladies barber group.
On the 1st of December until the 31st of December there will be another Victorian themed Christmas event at The Folk Museum at Gloucester Docks, again only a ten minutes drive from Quedgeley.
Tickets cost £3 per adult, £2 per concession, £10 for a family ticket (2 adults and 5 children) and children under 5 are free.

The folk museum will be festively decorated, there will be candelit tours, Christmas carol singing, Christmas work shops, a craft corner and a number of other activities.
For all you Quedgeley Girls there is a Christmas pampering shopping event being held on Saturday 3rd December at Quedgeley Community Centre.
There will be spray tans, manicures, pedicures, nail wraps, facials and eyebrow threading so that you are looking your best for the festive season and there will also be a variety of stalls with jewelry, beauty products, candles and hand made gifts for sale.

Also for more Christmas shopping there will be an Avon Christmas Shopping event today 27th November at Allie Ever After, Unit 36, Space Business Centre (Next to the Royal Mail sorting office) from 3pm - 5.30pm.
It is an Avon cosmetics event that will include all of the Avon cosmetics, skin care, haircare and other pampering goodies.
Entrance fee is £1.50 per person which includes a drink and a raffle ticket. All proceeds go to Breast Cancer Research.
For the kids this year you can go to Highfield Garden World to Santa's Grotto,
Santa's Grotto will be open every Saturday and Sunday 10am - 12pm and 2pm-4pm. Between the 19th of December and 23rd of December it will also be open in the afternoons between 1pm-4pm.
His hut will be wonderfully decorated into a magical Santa's grotto including a traditional wood burner and your child will get to chat to Santa and also get a special goody bag.
Cost to visit Santa is £5 per child which includes their goody bag.
Whilst you are at Highfield Garden World you can also get your freshly cut real Christmas tree.
They have a wide variety of Christmas trees from 3ft to 10ft tall and they also have a skip in the car park where you can recycle your tree after Christmas.
With all these events going on over the next few weeks you will be sure to be kept busy with festive events and get in the Christmasy mood.
