Bomb threat at Gloucester Docks

A bomb threat closed off part of Gloucester Docks this lunchtime.

A suspect black luggage bag, abandoned in the Victoria Basin, was checked out by police officers.

â¿¿Security guards turned people away from the area while an investigation was carried out.

A boater from the basin phoned police after finding the suspect bag.

But by 12.30pm police had opened the bag to find nothing suspicious contained within. They are now attempting to trace the bag's owner.

One security officer said: "There was nothing there in the end. They are looking for the owner now."
