Quedgeley People has heard from Josie Armand Smith in response to our question: "Are you doing something funny for money this Red Nose Day?"

Mum Josie, felter extraordinaire and maker of the most beautiful bespoke hats, tweeted: "We are. Guess how many steps will Bea take at her first birthday party."

Josie, who owns Armand Smith, has launched 'Josie and Bea's Red Nose Day Giving Page - How Far will Bea Walk?

Josie's asking people to donate and guess how many tiny steps Bea will take at her first birthday party on March 10.

The person who guesses correctly will win a tiny needle felt animal of their choice - such as one of the fantastic handmade dogs pictured above.

Josie writes: " If we receive more than one correct guess then Bea will choose the winner from a hat."

So far Josie and Bea have raised £120, which is 80 per cent of their £150 target.

Josie will film Bea's birthday walk as video evidence of the number of steps she takes and will be providing updates on the tot's walking progress via Twitter @josiemake****s (that's @josiemakes hats, but without the space - unfortunately, the automatic profanity filter replaces part of Josie's Twitter address with asterisks).
