Armed Robbery in Quedgeley Takeaway

An attempted armed robbery happened at a Takeaway restaurant in Quedgeley District Centre on Wednesday 7th December at around 11.15pm.

Two masked men entered at the rear of the property then pointed a silver handgun at the male employee and demanded money.

The member of staff ran in to the security office and locked the door.

The 2 masked robbers then fled with a woman who had been standing outside the back door.

The left empty handed.

Police are asking witnesses to come forward if you were in the area and noticed anything suspicious or if you recognise the description given of any of the thieves.

The description of the 2 men and woman is as follows:

  • 6 foot tall man of stocky build. He was wearing blue jeans, an off white Jacket and a Halloween mask.
  • 5 foot 5" tall man of medium build. He was wearing all black clothes including a balaclava.
  • A woman of around 19-20 years old, around 5 foot 7" with blonde hair that was possibly in a pony tail. She was wearing jeans and a light coloured jacket.

    I thought that this story was about the Chinease by Matalan to begin with but it turns out that it was Dominos in Quedgeley. Glad that everyone was ok as there is normally a lot of staff in that store and someone could have been hurt. Crimes like this are terrible and even more shocking when they are right on your doorstep.
