A new scheme is being set up in Quedgeley to get youngsters involved in fishing and help keep them off the streets and give them a new hobby to be interested in.
The scheme is being set up by Police in Quedgeley and led by PC Lucy Kay, Quedgeleys Community Police Officer.

This scheme will not be able to get off the ground unless there is enough people involved.
It is a great idea as it helps kids build relationships with adults other than in their families and is hopefully going to reduce anti-social behaviour by giving teens something else to do.
Youth unemployment is at an all time high and this makes it more important than ever to try and help teens and young people find something productive to do with their free time.
